I first experienced carnival at the age of 5 years and later enjoyed attending MAS camp in my country St Lucia. During the 1970's and 80's I became a spectator of carnival in Notting Hill. Inspired by my past experiences I joined forces with a number of close friends and created a carnival band in 1983. The band is called Flamingo Carnival Arts.

Since 1983 I have taken Flamingo to participate in carnivals and street festivals nationally, across Europe, Asia and the Middle East. It is an ambition to take our art and culture to each continent in the world. I have actively forged links with the local community using the creativity of carnival to revitalizing the local area, providing work experience, organizing schools and community workshops and assisting other communities to develop their own carnivals, including Slough, High Wycombe, Hillingdon, Margate, Liverpool & Norwich.

Over the past 22 years of managing Flamingo I have broadened my skills in carnival art. The all embracing nature of carnival and unlimited potential for self expression and creativity are constantly stimulating.
